Dental social media post ideas that do not look like everyone else's
Practical social media post ideas for a dental practice, built from what your clinic already has rather than stock photos. Plus why most dental posts look identical, and the fix.
Why dental social media all looks the same
Open the free dental graphics packs and you find the same thing everywhere: a model with unnaturally white teeth, a blue gradient, and the words “Book your appointment today”. Your neighbor two streets over downloaded the same file.
It is not a taste problem. It is a time problem. Marketing is what happens after the last patient leaves, so the fastest option wins, and the fastest option is a template that was never about your practice.
The irony is that a dental practice has more genuinely interesting raw material than most businesses. It just never gets used, because using it means opening design software on a Thursday evening.
Nine posts you can make from what you already have
- The building. Photograph the front door and the parking. Half of local search is people working out whether they can find you and where to leave the car.
- Who is actually in the room. Not a corporate headshot. The hygienist who will be cleaning their teeth, named, looking like a person.
- One question you answer every week. “Does a crown hurt?” You have answered it a thousand times. Write the answer down once.
- The languages you speak. If someone on the team speaks Spanish, Polish or Tagalog, say so. For the person searching, that is the whole decision.
- Emergency availability. If you keep slots open each morning, that is the most useful thing on your feed, and almost nobody posts it.
- A price, plainly. Cost is the question people are too embarrassed to ring and ask. Answering it publicly is a competitive advantage.
- Before and after, with written consent. Real cases from your chairs beat any stock image, provided the consent is documented and specific.
- What a first visit actually involves. Nervous patients are avoiding you because they do not know what happens. Tell them, step by step.
- Something a review said. Quote a real one. You have more of these than you think, and they are already public.
The part nobody tells you
Ideas were never the bottleneck. You could have written that list yourself. The bottleneck is that turning any one of them into something you are willing to post takes forty minutes you do not have, and the result still comes out in the wrong colors with a logo pulled off a screenshot.
That is worth being precise about, because it changes what a fix has to do. The fix is not more ideas or another template library. It is removing the forty minutes.
Consistency matters more than volume
A practice posting twice a month in its own colors, with its own photographs and its own logo, reads as an established business. The same practice posting twice a week in whatever the template came with reads as a stranger every time.
Your brand already exists. It is on your website: the logo, the color someone chose years ago, the typeface, the photographs of your actual rooms. The job is getting it out of there and onto the thing you are about to post.
How Oriva helps
This is exactly what we built Oriva Ads to do. You give it your website address, it reads your logo, colors, typefaces and photographs straight off your public pages, and it makes posts, printable posters and short video ads in your own brand. It is free, it never touches your practice management system, and it never sees patient information.
See it for yourself
Two minutes is enough to know if this fits your practice.
