How we approach clinical rigor

We're early, and we'd rather be honest about where the evidence stands than overstate it. Here's how we build and validate the triage engine.

Our approach

Deterministic by design

The engine is rule-based and auditable rather than a black box, so its reasoning can be inspected and corrected.

Built with clinicians

The triage logic is co-designed with practicing dentists and clinical advisors, including faculty at CU Anschutz.

Grounded in primary research

Our problem framing comes from first-hand interviews with 30+ dentists through NSF I-Corps.

Pilots in progress

We are validating the engine with real practices now, and will publish results as they mature.

What we don't claim. We have not completed formal clinical trials, and we don't publish accuracy figures we can't yet stand behind. Oriva provides pre-visit triage information for clinician review; it does not diagnose or treat.
